Listen to yourself and lose weight

Every year people spend about $ 40 billion on the purchase of “fat burners”, and somewhere around $ 500 million on the purchase of books on diets that help get rid of excess fat. According to ASPR, almost all diets are completely unsuitable and do not bring any benefits, because they can give the expected result only after two-three years.

Tip 1. Do not eat when experiencing an emotional situation.

Do not eat for internal reasons. Often we consume a lot of excess food in a stressful situation, thinking that this will help us cope with a difficult situation. This is fundamentally incorrect statement. Extra food in a difficult situation can only harm your stomach, but if you are already used to eating in such situations, then pay your attention to light foods.

Tip 2. Listen to your body

It’s not always the case that you want to eat something that your body needs. In order to understand whether you need it, answer the easy questions. For example, do you feel discomfort after eating certain foods? What do you want to eat when you are very hungry? How does the body react after two to three hours after eating? And similar questions.

Tip 3. Eat what you most want

The point is not to eat low-calorie foods. The bottom line is that you need to know how much food to eat. If you eat when you don’t feel the need for food, then excess calories enters your stomach. If you eat more than necessary, unnecessary fat accumulates. You probably get fat by eating absolutely any food, whether it is high-calorie or not. You can lose weight by eating any food, with any calorie content. Keep to a simple and interesting rule: eat only when you are hungry.

Tip 4. Stop eating the moment you are full

Body never wants to add weight. Listen to your body. Feeling full occurs when person does not feel hungry and discomfort in the stomach, and at the same time, does not overeating, and also have the opportunity to eat further. Stop at this point! If you overeat, there will be discomfort; you will want to sleep and so on. This should not be allowed. As soon as you feel that you do not want to eat further, stop.

Tip 5. Eat only when really hungry

If you are tempted by the smell of baking from a bakery, this does not mean that you are hungry. One of the main rules of losing weight is to eat only when you really want to.

Tip 6. Eat with caution and judgment

You must listen to your stomach. No one except you knows what it really needs and what is not. After eating, ask yourself: are you feeling good? If bad, it means that you need to change something in your diet. And yet, always sit while eating, do not stand, do not lie down, but rather sit down. Do not be distracted by something, for example, on a TV or on the screen of your smartphone.
