Zelgor (Abiraterone)
What is Zelgor (Abiraterone) used for? Abiraterone or Abiraterone Acetate is indicated in men who are suffering from prostate cancer that is resistant to hormonal or surgical treatment. This is also known as Metastatic Castration-Resistant Prostate Cancer (mCRPC). Abiraterone is not taken needs to be taken in conjuction with prednisone. Prostate cancer is fueled by the production of androgens in the body. Abiraterone helps to control prostate cancer by reducing androgen production at three different sites in the body - the tumor iteslf, the testes, and the adrenal glands. How should I use Zelgor (Abiraterone)? One tablet of Zelgor will contain 250mg of Abiraterone Acetate. Your doctor will give you dosage instructions - follow these closely. Abiraterone must be taken without food (on anempty stomach). Avoid eating for two hours before and one hour after taking Abiraterone. Abiraterone tablets are swallowed whole with a glass of water. The tablets should not be crushed or chewed. Any sexual contact while taking Abiraterone should involve the use of contraception. What are the side effects of Zelgor (Abiraterone)?
