What is Kenadion (Phytomenadione) used for? Kenadion contains the active ingredient Phytomenadione (Vitamin K1). It is a procoagulant factor. It can be prescribed to help reduce bleeding in cases where anticoagulant medicines have thinned the blood too much, in patients taking Warfarin before an operation, and by people with certain bone disorders. How should I use Kenadion (Phytomenadione)? Kenadion (Phytomenadione) should be only ever be injected by a doctor or a nurse. The dosage given will depend on the condition being treated and the severity of the condition. Blood tests may be needed to determine the correct dosage. What are the side effects of Kenadion (Phytomenadione)? Kenadion (Phytomenadione) has very few side effects in most people when taken at correct dosages.
