Zolax (Fluconazole)
What is Zolax (Fluconazole) used for? Zolox contains the active ingredient fluconazole, an antifungal medicine used in the treatment of a wide range of infections of a fungal origin. Fungal infections of the mouth, throat, esophagus, lungs, bladder, genital area, and the blood can all be treated with fluconazole. Fluconazole is also used by patients with compromised immune function such as cancer patients, bone marrow transplant patients or patients with AIDS. Fluconazole slows fungal growth by stopping the production of ergosterol. This creates holes in the cell membrane and kills the fungi. How should I use Zolax (Fluconazole)? Take only the dosage you doctor has prescribed and continue to do so for the specified timeframe. The entire course prescribed must be taken - do not stop taking fluconazole if you feel better. Fluconazole capsules are to be swallowed whole with a glass of water. Fluconazole can be taken with or without food. What are the side effects of Zolax (Fluconazole)? Treatment with Fluconazole can result in some side effects. Most people will not experience these and many times they will be temporary and minor. The following side effects are minor.
