Procalut (Bicalutamide)
What is Procalut (Bicalutamide) used for? Bicalutamide is indciated for treatment of prostae cancer. It is classified as a non-steroidal anti-androgen. Bicalutamide blocks the action of the male sex hormones - androgrens. It also decreases the production of these hormones. Prostate cancer cells need androgens to continue to grow. How should I use Procalut (Bicalutamide)? Bicalutamide is sometimes taken alone, and sometimes taken with luteinizing hormone-releasing hormone. Bacalutamide tablets should be swallowed whole with a glass of water. They can be taken with or without food. Bicalutamide is not a cure for cancer, but it can slow cancer cell growth. What are the side effects of Procalut (Bicalutamide)? Bicalutamide can cause some unwanted side effects. Most side effects you experience will be mild and short-lasting. Possible side effects include:
