What is Ramitax (Ramelteon) used for? Ramitax (Ramelteon) is a hypnotic sedative. In cases of insomnia where people have trouble falling asleep, Ramitax can help with this by affecting melatonin in the brain. How should I use Ramitax (Ramelteon)? Take one 8mg tablet of Ramitax 30 minutes prior to bedtime. Do not take Ramitax with or just after eating high-fat foods. Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water. Do not crush, break or chew the tablet. What are the side effects of Ramitax (Ramelteon)? Ramitax can cause some mild side effects including diarrhea, dizziness, drowsiness, fatigue, tiredness. Some people will experience more severe side effects and will need to stop taking Ramitax. These serious side effects include:

Make sure to tell you doctor of all medicines you are taking before beginning treatment with Ramitax. Ramelteon can cause tiredness, lethargy and dizziness. Do not drive a car or operate machinery until you are sure you can do so safely while using Ramitax. Ramitax should only be used when absolutely necessary during pregnancy.
