What is Peridale Granules (Sterculia BP) used for?

Peridale Granules contain Sterculia, a herbal treatment used to help dogs who need to control the consistency of their stools. Peridale granules can be used after an operation, for infections of the anal sacs, or when the dog has constipation or diarrhea. Sterculia which absorbs water (up to 60 times its weight) to form a gelatinous mass in the intestine, which promotes peristalsis and the easy passage of soft stools.

How should I use Peridale Granules (Sterculia BP)?

Peridale granules dosage guidelines are as follows:

• Dogs up to 5kg: half a level teaspoonful (1.5g) once daily
• Dogs 5-15kg: one level teaspoonful (3g) once or twice daily
• Dogs over 15kg: one heaped teaspoonful (6g) once or twice daily

Peridale granules can be placed dry onto the dogs tongue, or can be sprinkled over the dogs food.

Each bottle contains 175g of Peridale Granules (98% w/v Sterculia).

It is important to make sure the dog has an adequate supply of drinking water while taking Peridale Granules.

Peridale granules should be stored in dry place.
